Harlem Bespoke: Lidl on Frederick Douglass by 118th Street debuted in Harlem this morning at 8:00AM and lines wrapped around the block. There was even a snack truck provided on site so everyone can get something while they wait.
We took the above photos around hour after opening and the atmosphere was pretty crazy. Trader Joe's
on 125th Street won't be open until another year but Lidl actually has the same super discount grocery prices which everyone can really appreciate. We love TJ's but Lidl is just as good in many ways and two great affordable options will now be available uptown in the near future. With all that said, it is quite a mob scene today, so shopping later in the week may be the better bet. Check out out past post for more on Lidl in Harlem:
