Harlem Bespoke: We walked by the apartment building on the corner of West 121st and Manhattan Avenue and wondered what the storefront below and cornice at top used to look like. The corner space is quite large and photos from 1941 show a busy intersection with a grocery store at the corner and a laundry spot next door. Up top, the cornice detail actually ended around the exposed brickwork which is quite unique since most buildings have a curved cornice to crown everything off like this one on St. Nicholas Avenue: LINK
