REMEMBER: THE ORIGINAL FIRE PATROL 5 DOORWAY

Harlem Bespoke: We posted more recent photos of Fire Patrol Number 5 earlier today and everthing out front pretty much looks the same at 307 West 121st Street except for the original entrance. Glass block windows pretty much cover up the grand doorway where the fire trucks used to exit or enter from so we did a little archival research. City archival images from the 1940s show that a two door system that swung outwards was in place at the time and the material was paneled wood and glass at the top.  Check out our original post for more on the facade of this historic Harlem building: LINK
