Harlem Bespoke: Another free event to check out in July at Manhattan's oldest historic farmhouse in the heights. Definitely worth the experience especially if you have not visited the historic address yet.
Thursday, August 18th, 6:30PM, Back Porch History at Dyckman Farmhouse, 204th Street and Broadway. Gather on the back porch at DFM and learn about the history surrounding the farmhouse with a notable local historian. Nick Dembowski, Director of the Van Cortlandt House Museum, joins us for Back Porch History to discuss “The History of a NYC Street Corner.” Hear about the saga of the “Wading Place” at 230th Street and Broadway, where people once crossed from the mainland to Manhattan at low tide at this FREE event.
