☞ EAT: Making Way for the Red Rooster Harlem
The Red Rooster's new awnings are up at 610 Lenox Avenue (top photo) as of yesterday and this reminded us of the strategic change that next door neighbor Chez Lucienne worked out for their facade this past summer. As expected, red would be the color of decorative elements on Chef Marcus Samuelsson's new eatery and the second photo down shows that the next door restaurant at 608 Lenox previously had that color scheme. Having only opened for less than 2 years, the restaurant dramatically changed their look this past June: LINK. A reader pointed out that it was probably because of the Red Roosters arrival next door and it would seem that this would be a mutually beneficial change for both establishments.

Chez Lucienne has superior french door frontage, I hope the red rooster has a great sidewalk dining area to compete, this has the makings of a colorful restaurant row.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!!!
ReplyDeleteNow lets hope that Chez Lucienne's standards rise...
ReplyDeleteI've eaten at CL a few times and it's always been excellent.
