See What I Mean, Opens Friday, December 3rd, 6:00 PM-9:00 PM at the Taller Boricua Galleries, 1680 Lexington Avenue (between 105th & 106th). Bringing together visual artists and Nuyorican poets, the exhibition explores the elastic nature of verbal and visual language.  Incorporating multimedia and mixed media installation, drawing, collage, found objects as well as digital and traditional printmaking, "See What I Mean" offers a look beyond the surface of words and images to reveal deeper understandings. Made in Harlem festival, Saturday-Sunday, December 4th-5th, 10:00 AM-7:00 PM, 47 West 119th Street (between Lenox and 5th Avenue). Casa Frela will start the shopping season by  featuring 23 local artisans who will present one of a kind handcrafted jewelry, porcelain ornaments, hand-bound journals, colorful textiles from one-a-of-kind printed tee-shirts to handmade quilts, guide books, and holiday décor. www.CasaFrela.com
