☞ EAT: Lido Introduces Brunch & Drinks
Frederick Douglass Boulevard's latest restaurant to open finally received their liquor license and will also be introducing brunch this weekend on Saturday March 12th. The restaurant at the corner of 117th Street took over the old Frizzante space and has an entirely new team headed up by Executive Chef Stephen A. Putnam. Offerings for the weekend include various organic salads, pasta plates, cocktails and the requisite egg dishes which are all a la carte at this point (click on lower image to enlarge menu). Brunch menu looks pretty good. Anybody know if it comes with a drink or something?
ReplyDeleteUpdated post to read items as a la carte. No brunch specials from what we can see so far.
ReplyDeleteI have eaten at Lido and the food is not great and the service needs improvement, having said that I will give their brunch a try to see if things have improved.
ReplyDeleteI will repeat what i said before visit Supper in Alphabet City and take your cue from there.
Seems like what is really needed on lower Frederick Douglas Blvd. is some kind of affordable yet healthy simple place to eat. Maybe the uptown version of Life Cafe in the east village? Or the old Dojos? We need a regular, affordable, reliable place to eat. Can anyone make money on that these days???
ReplyDeleteAte here today with my family. It was fantastic. Not much around that's similar and the new atmosphere and food is great. Highly recommended.
ReplyDeleteWe ate here last week the food was absolutely delicious. The gnocchi was sensational and the serving sizes were quite generous. Wonderful apple tart desert, but a tad pricey. One problem I did have though was seeing a couple get turned away 5 minutes before the end of the brunch period. The place was pretty empty at the time and for me, not a great way to garner new business.
