☞ DWELL: Catching Up with 5th on the Park

5th on the Park has had its ups and downs since 2007 but the 28-story condo building at the south border of Marcus Garvey Park and 120th Street apparently has a few new model apartments on hand along with a pickup in sales. We received the press on the three new model apartments styled by interior designer Irit Price but were also curious to see what was going on with one of the tallest buildings uptown. The newly modeled units include a 586 square foot studio listed for $379,000; an 856 square foot one-bedroom listed for $499,000; as well as a 1,300 square foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with a terrace listed at $824,000.  These new interiors have reportedly help attract 8 accepted offers in the last month and the building's Streeteasy numbers include roughly 56 sold units (not counting the church transactions), 29 in contract and 14 active: LINK.

The handful of units sold in the last quarter of 2011 appear to be in the mid $700 per square foot range which is above the average uptown price but one unit was bought within the mid $500's. Residents began moving into the building back in May of 2009 but it has taken some time to get all of the 124 market-rate units occupied in this new construction.
