☞ EAT: Cafe Society on FDB for Summer 2011

Les Ambassades at 118th Street was the first to get a cafe up on the lower FDB corridor in South Harlem but now it looks like quite a few more will be showing up by Summer 2011.  News broke last month that Bier International by 113th Street just applied to have sidewalk dining set up by May but last night's CB10 meeting also reviewed the cafe request for Nectar Wine Bar up at 121st Street. Then there is the main alfresco dining eatery called the Harlem Tavern on 116th Street which might be a slightly delayed for their spring opening but the restaurant has kept things moving behind the scenes by applying for a liquor license at this point in time.  The sidewalks are definitely wide enough on the main boulevards of Harlem so it's nice to see them being put to some good use.
