OPEN HOUSE: Sunday, October 9th, 1:30PM-2:30PM. Number 532 West 148th Street in West Harlem has just appeared on the market and the first open house is this weekend at the asking price of $1.595 million. Based on the interior photos, the yellow brick townhouse appears to have had a gut renovation at the hand of someone with an artistic point of view. Additional photos after the jump.
This 16 foot wide townhouse was a converted rooming house at one point and a total of 2,646 square foot of space. The single-family home appears to be move-in ready and the closest express train is just about three block east of this location between Amsterdam and Broadway. More details on the broker site: LINK
They may have trouble moving this as it is quite taste-specific, but lovely. And who wouldn’t love a double staircase although I wonder why a 16 footer has one.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to them. Interested to see how long it takes to move.
Gorgeous interior, I am confident there are buyers out there who would agree. My only gripe, the entry door looks home depot and lets down the beautiful curved façade.
ReplyDeleteWestsider, I think the building in question is to the left of the bowed-front building as Ulysses mentions the yellow brick exterior. That entry door is nothing to write home about either.
ReplyDeleteSN, thanks for the correction, a pet peeve of mine is when brownstones have these undersized modern Home Depot doors with filler panels to the side and above.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you. If you’ve spent all that money to renovate, you might as well go the whole hog and get great doors.
