☞ DWELL: 475 West 140th Street Reduced

Number 475 West 140th Street has been on the market for over a year now and recent price cuts might just help it move along in 2012.  Last February, the townhouse located between Amsterdam and Convent Avenue went for $2.1 million but has been gradually priced chopped in the past months.  There appears to be minimal design detail on the interior of this one and much of the finishings appear to be renter's grade so the new asking of $1.8 million might be closer to the target for an interested buyer.  More details and photos after the jump.

From DOB paperwork, it looks like the 18-foot-wide landmark building was converted into a 4-family home a decade ago, so the space could use an update.  Overall there is about 3,588 square foot altogether and interested buyers might want to not that the neighboring townhouse on the block just went into contract for $1.5 million but that one has more recently been renovated: LINK. There's not too much going on the neighborhood except the main campus but St. Nicholas Park is close by and the one train at 137th Street is about a 5 minute walk away.

  1. Again with the "there's not too much going on in the neighborhood."
