☞ REMEMBER: The Josephine Poster circa 1931

Jean Chassaing designed the above poster of Josephine Baker circa 1931 in the Art Deco style of the period.  The Art Deco aesthetic started in the 1920s at about the time of Josephine Baker's rise to fame and would continue in popularity well into 1930s.  Reprints of the poster can be found today online for those interested in artwork that celebrate the Harlem Renaissance.  For more on Josephine Baker's history in Harlem, check out our past post: LINK
