☞ SHOP: Activity at Old Lenox Lounge Site

A few Bespoke readers have mentioned that they had seen a lot of work happening over at the old Lenox Lounge site as of late so we walked by to check it out.  There does seem to be men on site working on the interior of the iconic space located just below 125th Street and Lenox but the storefront  next door seems to be coming about more quickly.

As folks might remember, the managing partner of downtown's Nobu restaurant will take over the Lenox Lounge space but the storefront immediately next door will be a southern style buttermilk drop bakery.  New Orleans baker-turned-actor will be opening a Harlem outpost his notable southern style beignets soon and we suspect that this will be the first to debut as far as the new businesses on this corner by the Mount Morris Park Historic District are concerned.

  1. Good to see some activity and no doubt this will become another very successful spot, if only this new hot spot could be graced with the iconic red façade and Lenox Lounge signage keeping Harlem’s history alive. I am still hoping to see some activity at the new Lenox Lounge location, but hope is fading.
