INTRODUCING: THE EDGE CAFE AT 101 EDGECOMBE
Construction at 101 Edgecombe at 139th Street has been picking up speed and a tip came in that revealed the name of the new cafe. A Bespoke reader walked by the space and noticed that the interior was coming along but also procured information on the name of the new eatery. The Edge Cafe apparently will be opening on this cusp block of West Harlem sometimes very soon and it seems that the new shop owners have gotten the message that there are not enough cozy coffee corners in the neighborhood. Manhattanville Coffee will also be opening up nearby at West 142nd Street in the near future: LINK

Just walked by here with my husband yesterday - chatted briefly with the owners and they said they'd be open mid-June or so. Looking forward to checking it out - Edgecombe is such a pretty street for a little cafe.
ReplyDeleteI live in the building attached & am beyond excited! I always thought this would be the perfect place for a little cafe!
ReplyDeleteI understand that the name The Edge is to symbolize the location of the cafe which sits right at the "edge" of two of Harlem's most historic neighbourhoods: Strivers Row and Hamilton Heights. This will be a welcomed addition to this lovely neighbourhood
ReplyDeleteIs this ever opening? I live nearby and haven't seen any progress. Just a big dumpster out front.
ReplyDeleteI heard its opening no later than October, cant wait
ReplyDeleteCant wait for this place to open! I pass by everyday with dog wondering when it will open.Nice edge for a cozy spot!
