DWELL: RENOVATIONS BEGIN AT 721 ST. NICHOLAS

A Bespoke reader sent in the above photo of activity at 721 St. Nicholas Avenue on Sugar Hill and it looks like some sort of renovation has just started.  A crew on site has filled a dumpster out front of this corner of west 146th Street in the past few days and DOB paperwork show that an application for about $200k of minor interior work was applied for in the past few weeks.   Some might remember that a couple of years ago, the new owner failed twice to get an addition to the tower approved by the Landmarks Commission and it now just looks like a straight forward renovation will happen at this point in time.  Eight units are listed altogether on the permit that is on file.  Read more about the aforementioned proposals in our past post: LINK

  1. Thats actually the third dumpster full of stuff. This started a couple of weeks ago and they have been emptying out the ground floor spaces. live right up the street and very excited to have these beauties renovated. Would be great to have a new bar or bar restaurant there!

  2. We almost bought a place down the street from this beauty. I hope they do a nice job with it. That building can be such an anchor for this street and stretch. What's happening with the other big reno on the corner of 150th and St Nick's? Any updates?
