INTRODUCING: THE EDGE DEBUTS ON EDGECOMBE
The Edge cafe has opened up on the corner of Edgecombe and 139th Street in the past week. We were able to stop by for a quick cup of coffee to check out the interior and must say the owners have done a nice job with a challenging interior. Everything is mostly brick with rich, dark brown ceilings but there are bright banquets and warm wood all throughout. There is a subtle balance here between rustic alongside contemporary and it really works. We especially like the banquet seating which for some reason is overlooked by many eateries uptown but make perfect sense to maximize space. As well as the coffee goes, we have no complaints and the pastries look solid.

Could not agree more. The place is beautiful. I tried the coffee a number of ways, and the teas. All excellent.
ReplyDeleteHad a peek at the "soon come" menu -- looks amazing.
Can't wait to try the ackee + salt fish with festival, and the coconut fish + chips.
Hurry up ConEd
Love this place. Feels very homey. A place you can make your "local". Floors are a silvery blue -- waters of Jamaica
ReplyDeleteSuppose to be a blend of Jamaica and England -- can't wait to try it
Fantastic new addition to the neighborhood! Congratulations to the owners - sisters who are long time Hamilton Heights/Harlem residents.
