New York magazine did a big a story on
where to get matcha lattes in the city but did not feature the 2 spots in Harlem that serves the trendy brew. Matcha is the purest form of green tea ground into a brilliant powder which has been recently blended with foamed milked by a handful of quirky coffee shops. There is more caffeine and antioxidants with matcha so many have been drinking the brew in place of coffee. So were does one get their matcha fix in Harlem? Actually Il Caffe Latte on Lenox and the location on 145th Street has been serving up their version since last year and we have been making a point to order one on each visit:
