DWELL: 63 WEST 130TH STREET IN CONTRACT

After being on the market for just a little over two months, Number 63 West 130th Street on the north side of Astor Row just went into contract this week based on the asking of $2.2 million.  The large 20-foot-wide house has been abandoned for about a half a decade now with missing windows exposing the interior to the elements.  This actually might just be a record for what is basically a shell at this point since a gut renovation will probably come about when renovations start up.  Hopefully the new owners will keep the character of the mansard facades with the dormer windows at top floor since all of the townhouses match perfectly on this historic Street by Lenox Avenue.  So if anyone is listening, that would mean restoring the stoop, portico and lintel missing on the lower floors.
