EAT: ROAST CHICKEN AT SOLOMON & KUFF
Roast chicken has always been an easy standby to take home but not a particularly exciting dining option but we have had one great experience really worth going out of the way for in Harlem. Solomon & Kuff is more of lounge but does have a dining setup with a great Caribbean menu to choose from which includes an organic half chicken flavored with lemon and turmeric over a bed of roasted brussels sprouts. We first had a bite of the dish at a food tasting event but had to return to really get the full order to see what it was about.
Needless to say, the well marinated entree did not disappoint on so many levels. Highlights include perfectly golden, crisp skin and flavorful, tender meat with just the right amount of spice to make things interesting but not overbearing. Most of the other dishes we have tried at S&K are pretty solid but this one is definitely a must have for those into poultry. Of course the drinks are as good as they should be but those looking for a decent meal will not be disappointed here.
