A new exhibit of works by Nigerian artist Olaniyi Rasheed Akandiya (AKIRASH), and South African Vumelani Sibeko inaugurates focuses on art and artists from the African continent. The exhibit opening called On view is a wide selection of AKIRASH’s exuberant and highly textured Mixed Media Tapestry Paintings under the title OJU INU / INSIGHT. These carefully woven tapestries, of paper, thread and paint, range in size from 8 x 8 feet down to 9 x 9 inches.
