☞ ARCHITECTURE: La Marqueta Design
An image from 2003 of what La Marqueta might have looked like. The sleek, modern exterior that would replace the old brick warehouses and the more current amusement park aesthetics of the the open air market might not be the most interesting thing about the above illustration. More innovative are the extended side walks along the viaduct and limited traffic lanes that would have made the market area more inviting and pedestrian friendly.
