☞ SEE: The Emperor Jones
The Maysles Cinema will be presenting Paul Robeson's Emperor Jones, Wednesday June 17 at 6:30 PM. The Emperor Jones is a film adaptation of Eugene O'Neill's play from 1920. Brutus Jones, played by the Paul Robeson, kills a man, goes to prison, escapes to a Caribbean island, and becomes emperor.
