☞ SEE: Ted Dimond


Harlem based artist Ted Dimond will be making an appearance at Raggs of Harlem this Saturday as part of a charity auction. Mr. Dimond will paint a “political landscape” mural honoring past and present Latino cultural and political figures including Senator Olga Mendez, the late José "Chegui" Torres, and Supreme Court nominee Sonya Sotomayor at the event. One of Mr. Dimond’s paintings will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the Randalls Island Sports Foundation, which provides athletic programs for youth throughout East Harlem, the South Bronx, and Randalls Island. The above artwork is an example of his large canvas work called Bahia. Come meet the former Tennis pro and child art prodigy in celebration of Puerto Rico Day.
