☞ DWELL: 432 West 162nd Street Brownstone
Technically a bit further north of Harlem, this 19.5 feet-wide limestone townhouse may provide the right amount of wiggle room at the asking price of $925K for those still uncomfortable with spending more than $1 million above 125th Street. Although not the golden standard of being 20 feet wide (but very close), all of the original details are intact on the exterior and interior with beautiful Jumel Terrace and the Morris-Jumel Mansion around the corner. This is one of those secret neighborhoods up north and has much potential for the long-term buyer. On the down side is the amenities issue, which still has far to go in this part of town, along with a slightly longer commute than parts of Harlem. The closest subway stop is the the C train on 163rd Street for those who want to take a look.
