☞ EAT: Miss Maude's Spoonbread
The Central Harlem branch of Morningside Heights' Miss Maude's Spoonbread Too brings its reliable southern cooking further up north. The restaurant chain is known for the best fried chicken in town, and the mac and cheese gets the raves. Service has been known to be hit or miss depending on the day, so a little patience might be needed. Located at 547 Lenox Avenue between 137th Street and 138th Street. Tel. (212) 690-3100. Nearest subway 2,3 at 135th Street.
