☞ BESPOKE: Katrina Parris Opens

The boutique florist, Katrina Parris is now open! What an exciting time on Lenox Avenue with new developments taking advantage of the wide boulevards of this charming, historic neighborhood. The awning was up over the store the previous week to portend the florist's move to Mount Morris Park and now they are in full business mode. Drop by after having a bite at Il Cafe Latte, which is directly next door. Katrina Parris is on Malcolm X/Lenox Avenue between 119th and 120th Street on the west side of the avenue. Closest subway is the 2,3 on 116th or 125th Street. Photo by Ulysses. www.katrinaparrisflowers.com

  1. Didn't she have a store on ACP like between 110th and 111th or so? I passed a store in that vicinity which appeared closed but had the same orange awning with her name. I wonder is she moved because there will likely be more foot traffic on Lenox. - oni

  2. Oni, I believe that's where they started out but it seems they have been there for some time and leases do expire. Sometimes buildings raise the rents so high after contracts are finished, small businesses need to move. Instead of making an extra buck, smart landlords should want to keep small businesses that are good for the neighborhood by not increasing rents too extremely. Unfortunately, most are not that charitable.

  3. I wonder if she'll be open normal store hours for walk ins. her old location was not. this area really could use a place that you can walk into, buy an arrangement and walk out 10 minutes later. harlem flo is kind of like that-but they have more plants than flower arrangements.

  5. I always thought the old location didn't warrant much foot traffic. This area is really poppin these days. Other Harlem businesses are relocating to the area as well.
