☞ DWELL: The Fifth Avenue Harlem Brownstone

Open house, Sunday, October 18th, 11:30-1:00 PM. For those who always wanted a Fifth Avenue address, look no further. The brownstone at 2107 Fifth Avenue (the cream colored brownstone) at 129th Street might technically be in East Harlem, but in reality, the location feels more like prime Central Harlem. Priced at $1.51 million, this property has had about 200K chopped off of it but still is in the high range for the average-going price in Harlem. The interior has been gut renovated with basic dry wall and inset ceiling lights, so buyers will have to add the classic details if they desire a more traditional interior. The 2,3 express train at 125h Street will get one to midtown in about 15 minutes, but it's a good five minute walk to get to. This section is mostly quiet and residential. Amenity-rich Mount Morris Park and 125th Street is in walking distance, so it is not such a bad location albeit a bit removed from most commercial development.
