☞ EAT: Community Food Poised to Reopen

After a fire closed down the establishment for months, Community Food & Juice is poised to open in the next couple of weeks. The craft paper that covered the store windows for most of the spring and summer has finally come down, and it looks like the kitchen just has to be finessed before they get things going again. The most notable fact about this place is that a downtown, hip restaurant opened their next endeavor this far uptown. Community Foods is the Morningside Heights start-up from the Clinton Street Baking Company, which has its roots on the Lower East Side. Located at 2893 Broadway, between 111th and 112th Street. Nearest subway is the 1 train at 110th or 116th Street. www.communityrestaurant.com. Photos by Ulysses
