El Museo del Barrio re-opened this weekend after a year and a half hiatus due to major renovations. Nexus New York: Latin/American Artist in the modern Metropolis is an exhibition that launches the new era of the museum and focuses on the period in NYC between 1900-1942, when the growth of the Caribbean and Latin American artist entered the world stage in the new century's avant-garde movements. Located at 1230 Fifth Avenue at 104th Street, the museum is right next to the City Museum of New York and the Conservatory Garden at Central Park.
