☞ DWELL: 2056 5th Avenue Condos
OPEN HOUSE, Saturday, November 7th, 2:30-4:00 PM and Sunday, November 8th, 2:00-3:30 PM. The adaptive reuse condominiums at 2056 5th Avenue and 127th Street have loft-like spaces and also lofty ambitions. At slightly under 2,000 square feet, the asking price for a two bedroom unit is $1.1 million. It's a lot of space but the price seems a bit on the high side for a condo these days above 125th Street. The immediate area is pretty residential and quiet, with the 2,3 express train five minutes away on 125th Street. Not a bad area overall and a short walk to the shops on 125th Street and the Mount Morris Park Historic District. On the other hand, its not such a bad price for being able to tell folks that you live on 5th Avenue. See our past post (with updated archival photo) on this unique building in central Harlem: LINK.

All buildings (just) above 125th St. are not created equal, and this beautiful structure proves it. I'm in love with those fabulous windows. Your post doesn't mention it, but 2056 is 75% sold.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a great success story. For those looking for a spacious condo in a tree lined section of town, this is a great value compared to many other areas of Manhattan. At 75% sold, the building is solid and will not have the Certificate of Occupancy issues that other new buildings are facing in this market.
