☞ EAT: La Pregunta Arts Cafe
La Pregunta Arts Cafe in West Harlem has been around for less than two years and serves the often neglected City College nabe. Located between 135th Street and 136th Street, the interior exposed brick walls are lined with artwork from current exhibits, and the cafe hosts the occasional poetry reading on certain nights. The usual cafe fare can be found here, but there are also sandwiches named after Cuban revolutionaries! There was a fundraiser at the end of summer to help the financial situation of the eatery since it had been hit hard. They have been open since, so maybe it all worked out, but we did notice that they were closed this past Sunday afternoon when we walked by. La Pregunta Arts Cafe is on 1528 Amsterdam Avenue with the 1 train at 137th as the nearest subway. Tel.(347) 591-6387. Photo by Ulysses
