The warehouses West of Broadway in Manhattanville are currently not in the path of Columbia's Manhattanville campus and there seems to be some signs of life at the abandoned spaces. We noticed that 423 west 127th Street has shed some scaffolding that's been up on the building for the past year. Work really picked up at the end of 2009 and the space is finally open. A quick search of businesses in the area comes up with Triple Threat Television, a small indie production company that works with MTV as part of its client base. The other floors are apparently available for rent. This area is a little secluded but looks much like West Chelsea before the boutiques and galleries took over.
