Local photo blogger Harlem Hybrid took a look last month and the pictures are quite spectacular. There apparently are cars still sitting in the building from a couple of decades ago and the decaying industrial nature of the space is breathtaking and sad at the same time. This might have been part of the deal that gourmet grocer Citeralla signed up for since they had promised to restore the Taystee Cake factory and set up their warehouse in the area. As of last year, the city sued Citarella for neglecting their end of the deal and apparently wanted the properties back. Not much has gone on since.

☞ SEE: Inside 432 West 126th Street
The derelict garage building at 432 Wes 126th Street, right by the former Taystee Cake factory in Manhattanville, always looked to us like it could be a great loft building if only the right developer came in to restore it. This is one of the more egregious neglect properties in Harlem and the building doesn't even have a roof on it and the top floor is slowly falling apart. But what's in it?

Any reports on Haiti? Can you provide a link so socially conscious individuals in Harlem can know how and where to donate?
