☞ WALK: 23-29 Bradhurst Avenue Sheds

Strolling up lower Bradhurst Avenue at the corner of West 143rd Street, one will run into a set of curious make-shift garages. The lot on 23-29 Bradhurst, currently has a set four small garage sheds that look like they are straight from a country road. We couldn't find anything as far as the history of this particular block and just assume the there was some property loss during the mid 20th century and the open lots just became private parking spaces. The closest subway to this stop is the A,B,C,D train at 145th Street. Photo by Ulysses

  1. Those are the back yards/garages for the townhouses on Edgecombe.

  2. No they are not. I wish they there. These are illegal auto repair shops which block the sidewalk with cars and spill car fluids all along the sidewalk. These structures are illegal and have tons of violations. I've been calling 311 to have them removed for years.

These are en eyesore on an otherwise nice street and along with 25 Bradhurst Ave. should be grabbed from their neglectful owners and sold to developers.
