The hands down, hole in the wall, plexiglass-lined interior take out joint called Sunshine Jamaican Flavors might not get points for its decor but folks rave about its authentic flavors. For those Caribbean aficionados on a budget who crave jerk chicken, curry goat, plaintains and island Jamaican patties this is the place to be. The painted signage on the exterior is probably one of the best ethnic ones we have seen in the city but the interior is only for the adventuresome (and small of frame). Sunshine Jamaican Kitchen is situated conveniently outside of the A,B,C,D stop at the corner of St. Nicholas Avenue.
