☞ SEE: Harlem is...Music at the Dwyer Center

Harlem is...Music continues an eight part series at the Dwyer Cultural Center this month. The exhibition explores Harlem's unrivaled musical traditions by tracing the live of legacy keepers from James Reese Europe's orchestra of 1910 to Olu Dara's band in 2008, marking the contributions of 24 landmark institutions such as Minton's and The Savoy Ballroom.

The Dwyer Cultrual Center is located at the Dwyer Lofts building at 258 Saint Nicholas Avenue and the corner of West 123rd Street. The nearest subway is the A,B,C,D Train at 125th Street. Photo by Ulysses
