☞ EAT: Tea and Things of That Kind
After a long delay, Tea and Things of That Kind has opened on ACP/7th Avenue and 137th Street. We have walked by the storefront many times and the facade looked complete but lacking any indication of what the shop would specialize in. More recently, the windows now display a lovely etched store logo and a tarp hanging on the front facade advertises live music. This past weekend, there were a few customers having some afternoon tea at the establishment so word must be getting out. There's some new retail boutiques on this section of Central Harlem next to Strivers Row but better restaurants have been slow in coming. With Yatenga French Bistro opening up a few blocks down and now a tea room, maybe things will start to pick up in the next year. Read more about the mother and son team who have successfully opened this new business: LINK. Tea and Things of That Kind is on 2340 ACP and can be reached by the B,C or 2,3 trains at 135th Street. I will definitely frequent this business since it's around the corner from my apartment. It's great to see something other than a fried chicken joint opening.
