☞ EAT: Ristorante Settepani Brunch Returns
We just got the official word that the new Settepani will be officially serving brunch today. The favorite weekend afternoon destination spot will be back in service with the patio set out front for the first time in many months. Check it out and come support one of the first great new restaurants in the Mount Morris Park area that has been around for ten years now. The other date to note is that Monday April 19th will be the official grand opening celebration. Ristorante Settepani is located at 196 Lenox Avenue and 120th Street. The nearest subway is the 2,3 at 125th or 116th Street. Photo by Ulysses.

How is dinner? has anybody eaten there yet?
ReplyDeleteThe dinner menu is light italian and very fresh. The price is on the expensive side though.
ReplyDeleteHeading there today...
ReplyDeletePeered in around 11 am this morning. They did a nice job with the interior and the bar around the front.
ReplyDeleteWhen is One Bar opening? Somebody I know who knows the owner of The Den (the space that used to be on 5th above 125th) insists the owner of that space is still planning on moving down here. Lenox feels a bit desolate at night still so I think having things open will help!
May 13th is the date One Bar has on file with the courts to clear their DOB violation. Things could happen quickly after if everything else is in order.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, we might be talking about midsummer if things go slowly.
had brunch here today and have to give a big thumbs down
ReplyDeleteFood is ok or below average
Burger was mediocre, frozen not fresh fries
tuna salad with canned tuna
lettuce wilting
this is not what you pay $12 for
Service was slow
------------
We have been sampling several of the local places for brunch lately and must say that Settepani needs to take a lesson from the Hudson River Cafe, Community Kitchen, Max Soha, Covo,Londels, .........
Mediocrity will not eventually succeed, particularly if you price yourself on par with the competition and cannot offer a comparable product
On the other hand, they have a very nice setting on Lenox and we would like this location to thrive.
