The Apollo Theater was getting the message out the other day on filing the 2010 census forms. The final deadline is actually tomorrow, April 15 and it is important to fill them out since the local government loses $3,000 in federal aid per person that does not fill out the forms. It seems only about half of the city's population has submitted their census paperwork as of last week. When you count up the numbers, we are talking about millions of federal money that each neighborhood will lose since folks have not stepped up to file a form that takes ten minutes to fill out.
