☞ WALK: Tropical Construction Scrims Arrive
The city has been doing a lot of infrastructure work over on West 125th Street and interestingly enough, there's been a bit of a decorative touch to it all. To conceal "the mess" of ground crews and heavy equipment digging up the streets, these construction sites have brightened up gritty activity spots with industrial fabric scrims that have a vibrant tropical theme to them. Large, bright green, geometric leaves are printed on make-shift walls that surround the corner of 12th Avenue and 125th Street and also a section of the elevated subway tracks just a block away. Although a bit random, the city does get some points here for effort. All photos by Ulysses

Love it. Hope other construction companies use these.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping Dinosaur BBQ secured that spot for an outdoor dining sitting area ala Meatpacking District.
