☞ DWELL: 241 West 132nd Street Townhouse
On the market since last February, the house at 241 West 132nd Street is still at its initial asking price of $1.55 million. The 3-family home is 16 feet wide, 70 feet deep, and consists of an owner's duplex with a top deck, along with two individual single-bedroom, floor-through rentals. The entire building currently has market-rate tenants in it, so the new owner would not be able to move in until sometime in 2011. The interior reno basically consists of the exposed-brick-and-drywall aesthetic with moderately designed kitchens and baths. Location-wise, the nearest subways are an avenue and a half in either direction, with St. Nicholas Park to the west. The block is tree-lined but still has a couple of boarded-up shells that need some love. Architecturally, the facade is really distinctive for such a narrow building. Photo by Ulysses
