☞ INTRODUCING: 40 East 126th Street Storefront
At the end of March we did a post on the plywood walls that were up on an apparent retail space at the corner of East 126th Street and Madison Avenue. As mentioned, the work permits had been up for some time and contractors recently started more activity on the site but it was unclear if anything was going to happen this side of the year. The lower photo shows the storefront revealed today and a half dozen men were still finishing up the interior. Is a new business coming soon or is the property owner just prepping the space to attract more bids? This storefront is adjacent to Charlie's but that spot doesn't seem busy enough to expand so we are guessing that something might come along soon. Any tips? ReplyDeleteI heard it might be a bar...
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful part of East Harlem and it deserves some nice retail. I'm looking forward to more retail on Madison Avenue now that it has picked up around 125th i.e. Island Salad, Wild Olive Market. Good luck to whatever is opening there.
