☞ REVIVE: East Harlem's Lancaster Coops
The major Lancaster developments in East Harlem broke ground last September but it seem like some parts of the projects are doing better than others. When we recently walked by the Lancaster Madison, on Madison and 118th Street, we saw that a couple of more floors were added on to the planned eight story, affordable coop building. On the other hand, the last photos shows the site of the partner development just a couple of blocks east, called the Lancaster Lexington (between 117th and 118th Street), which still seems to be working out foundation issues five months after ground breaking. The sign on the plywood at the Lexington location has the project finish date at the end of June so it looks like this one might be pushed back a little. The nearest subway to these locations is the 6 train at 116th Street. All photos by Ulysses
