☞ WALK: Cinco de Mayo Festival in East Harlem
Today, Sunday May 2nd, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM. East Harlem's Mexican American population will be celebrating it's 14th annual Cinco de Mayo Festival in New York City. The main event is on 116th Street, east of Park Avenue. We walked by this morning and took the top photo just as the vendors were setting up. The lower image shows a silver-painted Aztecan warrior walking the fair later in the day. Revelers can expect Mexican food purveyors, live entertainment and lots of local color. The nearest subway station is the 6 train at 116th Street. Photo by Ulysses
