☞ DWELL: 57 West 119th Street in Contract
Of all of the blocks around the Mt. Morris Park Historic District, West 119th Street (between 5th and Lenox) has always been one of the shabbier ones, but it seems like there's been some recent activity in sales. The house at 57 West 119th Street was just listed at the end of May and went into contract the same week. The townhouse (center photo) didn't even have an open house so the deal was probably done behind closed doors. Listed at $1.75 million, the 17 foot wide, 3,536 square foot, landmark brownstone doesn't look that impressive on the exterior and DOB permits show that the house was converted into a two family sometimes in 2001. Another owner bought it in 2003 for $535K and that is the last bit of information on record. Has anyone seen the interior? Photo by Ulysses

Shabby?? Shabby?!?!!
ReplyDeleteWe prefer to think of it as “atmospheric”
I heard it was a total gut renovation. There are no pics on the PDE site. Most likely an insider deal.
