☞ EAT: Thai Eatery Taking Over Dry Cleaner?
While we were up on 148th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue this week, we noticed that the corner dry cleaner at number 754A had a new, brightly painted exterior. The lower photo shows the original curved corner and one can see the difference in color and that the new space has a noticeable "Thai Cuisine" signage out front. Curiously enough, when looking into the shop, it still appears to be a dry cleaner and laundromat. Does anyone have any news on this space? The closest subways to this location are the A,B,C,D trains at the 145th Street station. Current photo by Ulysses

We desperately need Thai in Harlem...I hope this come to fruition
ReplyDeleteWill look forward to giving these folks a try -- at least for delivery.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they could deliver my dry cleaning AND Thai food all at the same time! Now that's a business i can believe in!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, this is just a bodega called "tri thai cuisine" which is operating in the front part of the laundrymat. When I went by there, they had some empanadas in a glass case. I can't see how they could get a restaurant license to operate out of a hot laundrymat.
ReplyDeleteThere shouldn't be a restaurant of any kind in a laundromat. It's bad enough that it's the only laundry around and people eat inside and grease up the folding tables, now we have to endure laundry smelling like grease, nice!
ReplyDeleteVery exciting. It will be carry out only. They've had some samples that are very good. Don't know when they are opening. Can't wait!!!
