☞ DRINK: Any One Bar Updates?
Folks were disappointed in May when the anticipated One Bar, which was to arrive at 200 Lenox, threw in the towel because of construction and lease issues. The signs that used to cover up the windows of this corner storefront in the Mt. Morris Park Historic District have slowly started to fade and drop off in the following months. So is there any update? A reader sent us a tip a while back and mentioned that the owner still intends to open One Bar but at a different location. It has been a couple of months and we still haven't seen any activity so nothing is concrete at this point. Anyone out there have any more information? Read all about One Bar in our past post: LINK. The owner clearly must have unfavorable and or unreasonable conditions making it pretty much unlikely to make a profit (for a dining entity).
ReplyDeleteThe owner can also afford to sit it out and not get a tenant in there, and has chosen too. Setti P justifying and making major renovations, the new Cafe across the street, Katrina Parris Flowers all coming in across the street, and this place....stays unoccupied?
The location is clearly fertile ground to start a food entity. It's gotta be unreasonable conditions of the lease....
The Den was supposed to open accross the street from Setti P and that didn't happen either.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it.
A bar/lounge scene in this area would be a license to print money anbd be a book to the neighborhood. That strip gets pretty desolate looking after Setti closes.
