☞ SHOP: Morningside Park Farmers' Market

Saturday, July 3rd, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM at Morningside Park, West 110th Street and Manhattan Avenue (rain or shine). Walking by the Farmer's Market last Saturday, we noticed Horman's Best Pickles got a make-over with a bright banner and nice wood barrels to cover the pickle containers which all added a lot of character to a basic table stand. The fantastic fresh-press apple cider at Migliorelli's was written up a couple of weeks ago and they now apparently sell out of it by mid afternoon. Sweet corn, tomatoes, apples, pears, strawberries and blueberries are also currently in season but the best thing that we tried last week was the new potatoes at Alex's Tomato Farm, which were uniquely sweet with more flavor than regular potatoes (far right, 2nd photo).

Let's keep the momentum going with the farmers' market movement uptown! The closest train to this location is the B,C at 110th Street. Check out the list of other vendors and upcoming events on the Community Markets site: LINK. All photos by Ulysses
