☞ VOTE: The Nourishing Kitchen Grant
The nonprofit Nourishing Kitchen in East Harlem got some press at the end of last year since they started the Ebay auction trend at Rao's and now they are in the lead to receive a $25,000 grant from an online competition. The Post Grant for Good Health has selected 10 groups nationwide that help provide community health and wellness initiatives. The Nourishing Kitchen in East Harlem is a prime candidate since the organization teaches Junior Chef classes so that low income families can learn to improve the nutritional value of what they consume on a daily basis. The above photo is of a community garden in which children are taught the importance of seasonal and local grown foods. The Harlem nonprofit is in the lead for the grant but still needs everyone's help until voting closes on July 12th. Go to the Post site to vote: LINK.
