☞ DWELL: 466 West 144th Street in Contract

The Hamilton Heights Historic District townhouse that was the Open House pick over two weeks ago just went into contract. The 21 foot wide, single family home at 466 West 144th Street is big on space, details and expensive finishes. A year ago, the price was at $2.8 million (the house started in the $3 million range in 2008) and most recently landed at $2 million for the 4,600 square foot home. It's further away from the action of South Harlem but the strictly residential block at this location is by far one of the most charming in Manhattan. Location wise, it's only a couple of blocks away from the A,B,C,D express trains at 145th Street. Thoughts? Facade photo by Ulysses

  1. My husband and I went to the open house and we were told an offer had just been made a day or two before. Beautiful home but a bit of work left to be done including much needed landscaping. Love that block though. Congrats to the new owners!

  2. It's more like two or three blocks from the 145th street stop, but yes, a beautiful block.
